1. Overview
This policy explains what happens to information when you use realpizzadoughcalculator.com. Calculator math runs in your browser using client-side JavaScript. The site has no user accounts, no login and no recipe database.
Two things may be active on the site: Google Analytics 4 (traffic measurement, only if you accept) and browser storage on your own device. No advertising is currently shown, and no advertising scripts are installed. If that changes, this policy will be updated before ads go live.
2. Information Collected
- Calculator inputs: Ingredient weights, hydration and similar values you enter are processed locally and are not uploaded by the site.
- Usage data: Google Analytics collects information about how the site is used, described in section 4.
- Technical request data: Our hosting and network providers may log standard request details such as IP address, browser type and the page requested.
- Messages you send us: Only what you choose to include in an email (section 3).
We do not ask for payment details, passwords or government identifiers.
3. Information You Send Us
The Contact page does not submit your message to a server on this site. It prepares an email in your own email service (Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo or your default mail app), and you send it from there. We receive your name, email address and message only if you send that email. We use it to reply and to improve the site, and we do not sell it. Your email provider handles the message under its own privacy policy.
4. Analytics & Server Logs
If you accept analytics cookies, the site loads Google Analytics 4 (googletagmanager.com). Until you accept, the Google tag is not loaded and consent for analytics storage is communicated to Google as denied through Google Consent Mode. Once accepted, it reports page views and general usage, such as pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, and referral source. Google may set cookies and process IP-related data for this purpose, as described in Google's documentation on GA4 cookies and How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
We use this data in aggregate to understand which tools and guides are useful and to find problems. Calculator inputs and saved recipes are not sent to Google Analytics by the site's code. You can block analytics with your browser settings, a content blocker, or the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Our hosting and CDN providers may also keep technical logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp, requested URL) for security, abuse prevention and reliability.
6. Browser Storage
The site uses your browser's localStorage for features that work without an account. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.
You can delete saved recipes from the "Saved Recipes" panel or clear this site's data in your browser settings. When you use the share-link feature, your recipe settings are encoded in the page URL so that whoever opens the link sees them. Anyone you give that link to can read those settings.
7. Advertising
Current status: The site does not currently display advertising and does not load Google AdSense or any other advertising code.
If advertising is enabled in the future: We may show ads served by Google AdSense or other advertising partners. Google and its partners may then use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, which can include ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. Where the law requires it, we will use a Google-certified consent management platform so you can accept or refuse non-essential advertising cookies, and we will update this section before ads go live.

8. Third-Party Services & Links
- Google Analytics 4: traffic measurement (section 4).
- Hosting and CDN provider: delivers the site and may keep technical logs.
- Email providers: if you contact us by email, your provider and ours handle the message.
Our pages link to external sites such as flour manufacturers, standards bodies and reference articles. We do not control those sites or their privacy practices, so please read their policies.
9. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or California law), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of personal data about you. Because the site does not keep accounts, most data about you sits in your browser or with Google Analytics. Practical choices:
- Clear saved recipes and theme settings through the site or your browser.
- Accept or reject analytics cookies, and change your choice later via "Cookie settings" in the footer.
- Block or delete cookies, or use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
- Email us if you sent us a message and want it deleted or corrected.
10. Data Retention
Browser storage stays on your device until you delete it. Google Analytics data is kept for the period set in our Google Analytics account settings. Emails you send us are kept as long as needed to respond and for reasonable record-keeping, and we will delete them on request where possible.
11. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Children's Privacy
The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in some jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to This Policy
We will update this page when the site's practices change, for example if advertising or a consent tool is added, and revise the "Last Updated" date above.
